This Nichols Hollow couples session with Justin and Ann ended up being one of those sessions that felt unexpectedly perfect. What was originally planned as a spring session in the woods quickly turned into something entirely different when a fresh snowfall came through the day before. Instead of rescheduling, they chose to embrace it, and it completely transformed the experience into something that felt soft, romantic, and effortlessly fun. There’s something about sessions like this that just remind you that sometimes the best moments aren’t the ones you plan, but the ones you’re willing to lean into.

A Snowy Nichols Hollow Couples Session in Kaysville Utah
Nichols Hollow is already such a beautiful location, but with fresh snow covering the trees and trails, it felt especially calm and quiet, almost like the whole place slowed down for them. The light bouncing off the snow created this soft, natural glow that made everything feel a little more intimate. Justin and Ann brought such an easy, relaxed energy to the session. They weren’t focused on posing perfectly or getting everything “right” they were just present with each other. Walking through the snow, laughing, and staying close to keep warm… it all came together in a way that felt genuine and effortless, which always translates so beautifully in photos.

Playful Moments with a Vintage Feel
One of the things I loved most about this Nichols Hollow couples session was the subtle vintage influence Ann brought into it. From her outfit choices to the overall styling, it added a timeless quality that paired so naturally with the snowy setting. They really leaned into the experience, embracing the cold, moving freely, and not worrying about keeping everything perfectly in place. That balance of playful movement and quieter, more connected moments gave the session so much depth. It didn’t feel rushed or overly directed, just natural and reflective of who they are together. And toward the end, when the snow started falling again. It felt like everything aligned in the best way, one of those simple but memorable moments that you can’t plan, but always hope for!
