There’s something really special about a Utah maternity session at golden hour. The soft summer light, wide open fields, and mountains in the distance created the dreamiest backdrop for Kyle and Kaylie as they celebrated this next chapter of their lives. But what made this session even more meaningful wasn’t just the location, it was getting to photograph them again after already documenting their engagement and wedding. Watching my couples grow beyond their wedding day is easily one of my favorite parts of this job!

Why This Utah Maternity Session Meant So Much
When I first met Kyle and Kaylie, they were planning their wedding. We spent time together during their engagement session, celebrated one of the biggest days of their lives at their wedding, and now here we are, getting ready to welcome their baby. Being invited back for another milestone isn’t something I ever take for granted. By the time this session rolled around, there wasn’t any pressure to “warm up” in front of the camera. They already knew what to expect, they trusted me, and most importantly, they were completely comfortable just being themselves. That’s the kind of thing you can’t fake. The laughter, the little glances, the dancing in the middle of the field, and the quiet moments together all felt so natural because we’ve already built that relationship over the years.

A Utah Maternity Session Is About More Than Just Photos
Looking through this gallery, I don’t just see beautiful maternity photos. I see pieces of their story. I remember the excitement during their engagement session, the emotions from their wedding day, and now the joy and anticipation of becoming parents. It’s pretty incredible to think that one day they’ll be able to look back through all of those galleries and see how each chapter led to the next.
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is that it doesn’t have to stop after the wedding. Whether it’s maternity photos, welcoming a new baby, anniversary sessions, or whatever season of life comes next, getting to continue documenting those moments is such an honor. Every session builds on the last, and over time, those galleries become so much more than individual photo sessions, they become your family’s story!
